We are JigsawML, not Jigsaw AI

JigsawML is the company and the product name, and it is the only name we use for ourselves. People hunting for an AI tool that maps software architecture often reach for "Jigsaw AI" instead, or shorten it to just Jigsaw, which is why this page exists.

What JigsawML does

What people mean by a Jigsaw diagram

"Jigsaw diagram" is not a term we use, but it is a common way to search for what JigsawML produces: an architecture diagram generated from a real codebase rather than drawn by hand in a diagramming tool.

It is worth being precise about the difference, because it changes what the diagram is good for. A hand-drawn diagram records what someone believed the system looked like on the day they drew it. A JigsawML diagram is derived from the code and infrastructure themselves, so it reflects what is actually there, and it is regenerated as the system changes instead of quietly going out of date.

• Generated, not drawn — we read the repository and the cloud account; nobody places boxes by hand
• Interactive rather than static — expand a component to see the code behind it, or ask what depends on it
• Kept current — it re-runs on new commits, so the diagram does not drift from reality
